Physiotherapist [MSc.PT]
Certified Lymphedema Therapist  [CLT-LANA]
Acupuncture Canada [ACC]

I graduated from the University of Alberta Faculty of Rehab Medicine program with a Master of Science in Physical Therapy in 2016.  I was very fortunate to gain experience as a student at the Cross Cancer Institute in Edmonton, AB. It was here that I learned about treatments for axillary web syndrome (cording), post-mastectomy/lumpectomy shoulder pain and frozen shoulder, and the intricacies of lymphedema management. I saw first-hand how much of an impact a multi-disciplinary approach could make to a person’s quality of life and I knew I wanted to bring this treatment idea back to my hometown of Kamloops.

After returning to Kamloops I worked in private practice for several years to gain more experience. I studied to become a certified lymphedema therapist through the Norton School of Lymphatics, and took further exams to be certified through the Lymphology Association of North America (CLT-LANA). Also, I received a scholarship from PINC & STEEL to become a certified PINC cancer rehabilitation therapist – a program designed to support and guide women through every stage of cancer treatment and recovery.

Orthopedic physical therapy is another passion of mine. Physiotherapists are trained in diagnosing and treating any part of your musculoskeletal system that is affected by illness or injury. Through my work in private practice I thoroughly enjoyed working with people pre-operatively for osteoarthritis of hips and knees, as well as post-operatively for total hip replacements, total and hemi knee replacements, knee scopes, total shoulder replacements, and fracture management. As I took training in lymphatics I was happy to discover that lymphatic therapy is also very beneficial with post-operative swelling and began to implement this with success in my practice.

I truly believe that the most successful people are active in their treatment. All treatments are one-on-one and focus on you to determine what your goals of treatment are, and how we can work together to reach them through individualized exercise programs and hands on treatment.
